You are doing great (and doing a great thing)! I'm going to come out and meet you during your journey. Can't wait!

Here's a thought for you: There is little difference in people. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.

Hello,

I would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive, so kind to my daughter Darcee as she makes her way across Canada on her courageous journey. To everyone who has fed her, put her up for the night, who have wished her well, who have helped financially for her road trip expenses. There are so many ways you have all helped. All the guest book signings of words of support. The wonderful e mails we have received. My heart is full! Thank you everyone.

Dear Darcee- Just like mom, I too am so GRATEFUL for all the caring and support you've already received- it's terrific! I also think that internet is such a cool creation because anyone in the world is able to follow the progress of your cause - the struggle - the people - places - and especially your thoughts. It's just incredible! It helps us feel a part of you even though we can be so physically far away. I think of you all the time and despite your pain you seem to be just "cruisen" along. That's incredible too! CONGRADULATIONS! Half way point! Please take good care, love you so much!! Bridgett

My mom reads all the letters to me by phone and we always come to tears reading the wonderful letters. I am being taken care of here in Winnipeg. Everyone is so wonderful. I got my care package thank you mom. Special hi to Lori and all of her support. I can't wait to see you in NY. I don't want to leave anyone out so I am sending a big thank you to everyone. I can not express the gratitude of being fed, showered, and housed. It is such a safe feeling knowing that I have someone to look after me. It is scary out here some times so it is such a wonderful feeling of being safe. Hi mom and dad. Love you, thank you for your wonderful support, love and patience. Take care all, love Darcee.

When you're having a tough day on the road, just think of us and our well wishes will refuel your spirit. Don't be afraid to let us turn the wheels for a while. I'm still trying to line up a place for you in Thunder Bay. Did my grandparents treat you all right? And did you hook up with Chris in Whitewood? I left the information with your mom and then took off to a weekend wedding in Westaskiwin, Alta. I hope everything worked out. I look forward to tracking your progress and I look forward to seeing you back in Moose Jaw so we can talk more about our experiences. I wish you well. Keep dreaming; you're on a roll. Cory :-)

Hi Darcee! Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know what an awesome person you are. I feel truly blessed to have had the good fortune of crossing paths with you on your way through Winnipeg - I can't possibly express what an immense impact you have had. I spoke today with many of the people we met up with yesterday, and all were truly impressed with you and the commitment and courage with which you are chasing your dream. I know you you feel that you learned a great deal yesterday, but you should also know that we are all indebted to you for the lesson you have shared with us - that we all have a contribution to make, and although some contributions are larger than others, each one makes a HUGE difference.

On a more personal note, I wanted you to know how very fortunate I feel to have played even a small part in your journey through Canada. There is a quote I heard several years ago that has been in my head all day, and it captures the essence of how I (and probably many others) feel to have had the chance to support you during your brief visit: "To you I am one of many, but to me you are one in a million".

I hope the weather is more kind to you in the East. I will keep you in my prayers, and eagerly checking up on your progress.

Safe travels my friend.

Dan.

Hi Darcee - congrats on the half way mark from all of us! I've driven the part from Kenora to Thunder Bay - it can be beautiful but also long stretches with no activity. I imagine that will be hard! When you are further along the stretches along Lake Superior are great so you'll be able to swim and enjoy that. Something to look forward to.

Cheers from all of us!

Hi Darcee (& Darcee's mum!) - mUm mum too, just like me! It has been my pleasure to give Darcee a home, a meal, a bed and a hot tub for the night. Darcee has a powerful goal and her message will always be to others " you can do what you truly and really strive to do". -- and that is for anything -- school goals, relationships or major accomplishments. Keep up the accomplishments, one km at a time.

Hello everyone! Dan at English River Motel/Resort allowed me to say hi from his computer, here in English River, Ontario.

Thank you for all your wonderful support friends and family. Your wonderful letters and well wishes really help me turn my pedals.

Things are going well. I am out of the flats and heading into the hills of Ontario. There is beautiful scenery and prestine waters as I make my way across.

The people who are supporting me along the way, inviting me into there home are "making" my trip! Without thier help and encouragement, this trip would be so much harder to complete. Thank you all, you know who you are.

Love you all, Darcee

Special hi to Mom, Dad, Pookie, and Teddy and friends and supporters.
